The Buena Vista Inn is a centrally located and small but tranquil vacation inn set on the Indian River in New Smyrna Beach Florida. The Buena Vista Inn has only 8 units, all of which are on the ground floor. They offer free parking, free wi-fi and reasonable rates if you are traveling with your dog. That is a huge plus because many properties do not allow pets, or charge exorbitant fees if they do. They even offer a little doggie welcome package which is a great personal touch.
It is an old Florida style hotel where everything is easy to get to and the rooms are set around a central courtyard. Each room and/or suite feature flat-screen TV’s, some units add seating areas, minifridges, microwaves and/or kitchens. Shared amenities include BBQ grills, tables and chairs in the common courtyard and a guest laundry room. The rooms are clean, have fun Key West type décor and are reasonably priced.
The owners live on the property so the service is fabulous. Many reviews mention what gracious hosts they are. The Buena Vista Inn also has a great location, very close to the beach and shopping. You simply walk over the North Causeway Drawbridge, and you are near the Flagler Ave business district. It is also adjacent to a nice park and some rooms have a back door that opens to the park side. The park has a playground, covered picnic tables and a fishing dock
The hotel itself is also very close to several New Smyrna favorites like the Wake-up Café, Outriggers, and Island Roasters Coffee Company. There is also a small grocery store nearby and a marina where you can check out the boats.
The Buena Vista Inn gives you the best of both worlds. Old Florida charm in a clean and updated form. It is also reasonably priced and close to all of the fun that New Smyrna Beach has to offer. If you are planning to stay in New Smyrna Beach, definitely consider the Buena Vista Inn.
