Your Guide to Getting Around
By car, by plane, by boat, or by train, the New Smyrna Beach area is simple to travel to. Once you’ve arrived, New Smyrna Beach is an easy town to navigate. Most people drive, but you will also see lots of bicycles as well. There is also a well-connected transit system, taxis, and app-based ride services (including Uber and Lyft).
If you are flying into Florida via one of the airlines, New Smyrna Beach is close to several major airports. It is an hour away from the Orlando (MCO) and Sanford (SFB) airports, even closer to the Daytona Beach (DAB) airport and about two hours away from Jacksonville’s (JAX) airport.
All of these airports will have availability for you to rent a vehicle from the major national rental car brands. You can also arrange for an executive car service or one of the rideshare apps to get you from the airport to New Smyrna Beach.
There is an Amtrak station in Deland, Florida which is a half hour inland from New Smyrna Beach. The Amtrak “Auto Train” also ends in Sanford after originating in Virginia. It is a great way to get your car to Florida while arriving fresh and ready for fun after the overnight train trip.
If you are driving in from another part of Florida or from out of state, you will find that New Smyrna Beach is located just a few miles off I-95. When you get off I-95, there are many shopping options to stock up on vacation essentials before hitting the beach!
Once in New Smyrna, you will find plenty of companies willing to rent cars, golf carts, bicycles and even scooters.
The important part is to get to New Smyrna Beach because we can’t wait to meet you!
